The Get Started story goes back to the giddy heights of 1999 when the world was absorbed in the 'internet economy' craze. While everyone seemed to be cashing in on the rivers of cash from frenzied investors and clients, the Get Started founders took a different approach: "Why not look at ways of doing it cost effectively, and focus on our client's return on investment?" Oh, how they laughed at us then.

When the 'tech wreck' came in 2001 Get Started was lucky enough (or wise enough, depending upon who you ask) to be specialists in the one thing that people still wanted:sensible, high-quality, cost effective websites and online systems that make our clients successful.

Since 1999 the company has grown into one of Australia's leading web development companies. Based in Melbourne, but with clients around the world, Get Started prides itself on creating the web solutions that our clients need, whatever that may be.

Because we don't chase the flashy projects and the big corporate accounts you might not have heard of us, but several hundred clients have experienced the Get Started difference.

Get Started was founded on a simple philosophy: great results are achieved because people enjoy their work, and not in spite of it. For Get Started to be successful, our clients must love their website or business system, and our team must love what they do.

Flowing from these ideals is a very strong commitment to customer service - we go to extraordinary lengths at times. However, at Get Started, the customer is not always right. We will often suggest simpler or less expensive solutions to our clients because it is what their business needs, not the solution they think they want.

We believe by ensuring our team members are always challenged and able to work on projects they have a passion for, our clients receive better service. A high-level philosophy held throughout Get Started is to help people wherever we have the opportunity. That may be in the form of ensuring our team members do what they love, or our clients receive the best possible solution and customer service - or directly assisting community organisations.

Get Started holds integrity and honesty high in all its business and community dealings. We will only propose solutions to our clients that are best for them, not our sales targets. If we believe our potential client has been proposed a better solution than ours by a competitor, we happily recommend they take on our competitor. We are solutions not sales focused.

We also believe in having a lot of fun. Work is such a large part of everyone's lives, we ensure we enjoy it.
