Unity Foundation uses Film Night to launch online sales

By Marty Drill, in Web Design, Web Development

Unity Foundation have launched online sales of tickets and merchandise on the website. As part of Get Started's ongoing commitment to Unity Foundation, the website was upgraded to the TightPage Premier package which includes the online payments and order management.

What this means for Unity Foundation

This provides a substantial boost to Unity as the website will now provide supporters with the ability to register for events, purchase merchandise and make donations (soon to be released). This will increase participation and revenue, while substantially reduce administration. The challenge for community organisations is balancing staff resources between activities that achieve their main objective and fundraising which supports their main objective.

    Unity Foundation film night

In line with the launch their new online payments system, Unity have organised a Film Night on Thursday 7 June. Tickets are available at www.unityfoundation.org.au/kanyini to see this extraordinary film. Information about the film and the details are listed below.

Details for the Kanyini film night

A Special Screening of the film Kanyini will be held on Thursday 7 June at RMIT. The event begins with drinks at 6.30pm. I would like to invite you to come along and see this extraordinary film. Tickets are available online (see below). Please invite others to share in this experience. The Director will be available to discuss the film following the screening.

The filmmakers have decided that the proceeds from the evening will go to Unity Foundation and Mutitjulu community.

KANYINI was voted "best documentary" at the London Australian Film Festival 2007.  KANYINI is a story told by an Aboriginal man, Bob Randall, who Lives beside the greatest monolith in the world, Uluru in Central Australia.

Based on Bob's own personal journey and the wisdom he learnt from the old people living in the bush, Bob tells the tale of why Indigenous people are now struggling in a modern world and what needs to be done for Indigenous people to move forward.

A tale of Indigenous wisdom clashing against materialist notions of progress, this is not only a story of one man and his people but the story of the human race.
