Birth.com.au is well-recognised by parents and health professionals alike as Australia's premier website for pregnancy, birth and parenting information. Birth’s aim is to provide quality information for all parents that is research-based and balanced, encompassing every aspect of medical care and natural therapies.

Birth was a large site that needed a fresh new look and a robust content management system. The Birth users and membership base were engaged to assist in the modernisation project.

Features of the Kentico system that appealed to the client included its ease of use, quick implementation and value for money. The system needed to easily handle a large quantity of content that included more than 2,500 articles. In addition Get Started needed to integrate their birthtalks discussion forum, a week by week pregnancy email service, baby and parenting update email service and a birtharrivals announcement section.

Get Started worked with third party designs and integrated them into Kentico. The goal and challenge was to build the site in a way that articles from the existing site could be brought across seamlessly. The ability to move content across easily was paramount in terms of the timeline and cost to the client.

Another component to the project was to create an email marketing system designed to contact users on a weekly basis during their pregnancy and on into early parenthood. We setup Birth with email marketing through StreamSend (the 3rd party provider of our Trumpeter system) to manage the thousands of emails and subscribers.
