BroadbandPlans helps Australians to make better decisions when selecting broadband Internet plans. After hearing about the challenges his father faced when trying to organise a broadband connection, the founder of BroadbandPlans recognised there was a desperate need for such a service. With over 20 different ISPs, 4 methods to connect to broadband and literally hundreds of plans on the market, it’s not hard to see how this process can be difficult for anyone without an IT degree!
The business model is simple: ISPs provide referral fees for all users who sign-up to a plan. This enables BroadbandPlans to provide a great service for Australians, while remaining financially viable.
The concept was to develop a smart, easy to use website that featured a wizard to walk users through the decision. With this in mind, BroadbandPlans needed a web development company that had the skills and experience to bring to life this concept. BroadbandPlans chose Get Started because of our experience in both web publishing and business systems.
Working with the client, Get Started developed the blueprints of the system:
Get Started implemented the SiteFinity content management system, which provided the framework for content management with the flexibility to develop all of the custom modules.
Creating a design that was friendly and modern was very important because the website needed to create trust as an ISP-neutral, reliable service. The design has achieved this through a clean layout and a retail focus. The website also utilises flash elements that help illustrate the process.
The result is a fantastic website that allows users to easily find, compare and purchase broadband plans with confidence that they’ve made the right choice!
