Launching Kidspot into New Zealand

site launched 22/05/2006 Kidspot Australia (www.kidspot.com.au) was launched in late 2004 by several senior SEEK Directors, Managers and the founding Chair, former Melbourne Lord Mayor - Irvine Rockman. In mid-2006, Kidspot Australia merged with Kids New Zealand, a similar company which launched in New Zealand in 2001 and became part of the 'Tots to Teens' group of companies.

The Kids New Zealand business also provides a printed directory, distributed throughout New Zealand. The existing website had a well established following, but limited functionality. Get Started worked with Kidspot to firstly enhance then replicate the Australian site, to the new New Zeland website.

Included in the enhancements to the Kidspot Australia site, which Kidspot New Zealand also benefited from, were an events calendar and a popular message board.

Get Started worked closely with the Kidspot Australia founders to design and build acomprehensive site, that was powerful for the end-user (parent otchild), the adverister and the Kidspot team. End-users can quickly andsimply find a product or service for the child and contact theadvertiser in a number of ways: via email, phone or SMSing directly from the website - at no cost. The sophisticated, yet simple, administration systemsensures the Kidspot team spend more time adding-value working on thebusiness, than in it.
