Kidspot is all about simplifying the search for kid-related fun, activities, sports, and related trappings. It makes it fast and easy for kids and their parents to identify things and places of interest leaving more time for all to enjoy!

Kidspot is an innovative and fast-growing purely online business created by 3 successful ex-SEEK.com.au senior executives. The Marketing Director, Sales Manager of SEEK Executive and the founding and long-serving chairman of SEEK.com.au, Irvine Rockman CBE - pooled their collective ecommerce and parenting experience to design one of Australia's best listing resources.

There was a single-minded, shared vision from the start - it had to be comprehensive and it had to be intuitive. Finding categories of interest and then signing up a vast range of product and service providers operating in those categories was paramount.

So was the website itself - clean, simple, intuitive. It's all about helping parents quickly find product and service providers in their local area to meet their growing kids' needs and wants. The founders of Kidspot hoped each and every visitor finds a little bit more quality time with their kids as a result.

An easy-to-use and colourful website, Kidspot was developed using a unique and innovative revenue model, that seems to be working. Launching in early October 2005, Kidspot.com.au has received fantastic reviews and an amazing level of traffic. A key focus during the project was ensuring the site was search engine (SEO) optimised. The site was built from the ground-up with SEO in mind, and this investment has reaped the rewards - kidspot.com.au is now one of Get Started's most trafficked websites.

Get Started worked closely with Katie and Dani to design and build a comprehensive site, that was powerful for the end-user (parent or child), the advertiser and the Kidspot team. End-users can quickly and simply find a product or service for the child and contact the advertiser in a number of ways: via email, phone or SMSing directly from the website - at no cost. The sophisticated, yet simple, administration systems ensures the Kidspot team spend more time adding-value working on the business, than in it.
