Parenting Ideas is the brainchild of Australia's number 1 parenting educator - Michael Grose. Grose and Parenting Ideas provides parents, teachers and schools with down-to-earth, relevant and inspiring advice on engaging and educating children of all ages.
Their old website failed in this pursuit so they approached Get Started to completely redevelop their online presence. The biggest challenge with the Parenting Ideas site was to effectively split the 3 core focuses of the business - Teachers, Parents and Schools - into different sections but share products and content across all 3 and maintain a simple, maintainable and extensible templating structure in the CMS.
Get Started solved this problem through throrough planning with wireframes, a clever design, utilisation of the Portal method and Kentico's brilliant templating engine.
In order to make the website engaging, Parenting Ideas uses several features such as polls, video and blog that draws the visitor in and keeps them coming back for more. The ecommerce section of the site is easy to navigate and use. It’s been so successful that in the first week Pareanting Ideas sold over 50 ebooks.
