Thai got his first computer in 2000 before he knew how to use it. In the summer of year 8, he went to a computing school to take a short course in web design. Thai then found he thoroughly enjoyed creating websites for his friends but never thought about being a web professional.
After finishing year 12 in Vietnam, Thai went to Australia and successfully completed the Diploma of Computing at MIBT. He had been the top achiever in many units before he achieved the Top Graduate award in 2007.
Thai then went to Monash University to take the Bachelor of Information and Technology with a specialisation in Internet Systems. Therefore, he has good knowledge of a variety of different web programming languages, web authoring, network administration, database systems as well as human-computer interaction.
Thai wanted to be an IT lecturer, so he continued on and did an Honours degree, chosing Spatial Network Databases for his thesis topic. He is the main author of two publications on IEEE and Springer and is the co-author of other papers. In 2009, Thai was awarded the Professor Cliff Bellamy's Dux of Honours by the university. He is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Before joining Get Started, Thai had two years working experience as a web developer in some small companies in Melbourne. One of his remarkable achievements was developing from scratch an entire web business framework, which normally takes many people years to develop.
Thai arrived at Get Started and was really impressed by the company's achievement and the professional nature of people in the company. In late 2010, Thai got started. A working day for Thai usually starts at 9 o'clock in the morning. Then he will spend most of his time chatting with project managers and creating websites. Thai enjoys working in the company very much because it’s well organised, and the people have great personalities and great communication.
Thai never calls himself a geek. He rathers being called an artist, as he loves to sing, play keyboard, read fiction books and play computer games. His favourite quote is: 'Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose.' (Bill Gates)
Thai is a Kentico Certified Developer.
