It’s no surprise that Carly found her way to web development. At the age of 9, she used her Commodore 64 to taunt her little brother by writing code that displayed, in blinking text, that he smelled. After honing her skills at Newcastle University, Carly’s vast skillset now includes expertise in SQL server administration, classic ASP/VB6 development, .NET

technologies, analyst programming, and Java - just to name a few.
 
Yes - she is now able to tell the entire world, in many different languages, just how badly her brother smells!
 
Carly is a self-proclaimed ‘geeky girl’. In her spare time she enjoys exploring programming techniques, which include Ruby on Rails, Mono.NET, F# and application technology for her newly purchased Iphone. Carly is most interested in the future, or bigger picture of the web and how the evolution of society, with each generation, will drive technologies and influence social activities and behaviours. She belongs to several beta testing groups including Google wave, Twine, and Opensocial.
 
Suffice to say, Carly lives and breathes the web.
 
Offline (away from the computer), Carly enjoys traveling, pub-crawls and high-fives! Carly has recently moved to Melbourne after backpacking South America for one year. The influx of Spanish culture has given Carly a zest for life. Now, like all Melbournians, she must decide which AFL team to barrack for!
