Nic joined Get Started mid-way through 2007 as a Support Technician. He has made a huge impact on our Support department, looking after all things email, domain names, hosting and websites (among many other things).
Nic used to be an adventurer, until he took an arrow to the knee.
Before joining Get Started, Nic’s computer skills and internet knowledge were kept as a side project. He has worked in several industries, from customer service to finance and lending advice. Nic has a great deal of experience in the hospitality industry. A barista for nearly 5 years, Nic has worked in some of Melbourne’s top cafés and restaurants. Nic has always had a way with computers, and is an early-adopter of technologies and all things the internet. The fondest memories from his youth are of playing Multi-User-Dungeon (MUD) games like Iconoclast.
After getting to know Nic through another employee, Get Started recognised that he was a gold mine of skills going unnoticed, and snapped him up quickly. Nic loves his role at Get Started, and can’t believe he gets paid to apply his computer skills all day long. Nic adeptly picked up the training on Get Started’s systems and immediately started improving our response-times and workload for support requests and problems. Nic plays a vital role in improving and upgrading our support systems, so our support team can process support items quickly and communicate with clients more easily.
