The Victorian Cherry Association represents the interests of Victorian Cherry Growers. This ranges from marketing, general resources about growing cherries and more importantly, a community amongst the growers. The VCA was established in the 1960s and now has over 60 members. These members cover over 85% of all cherries grown in Victoria (in excess of 3500 tonnes!).

The VCA identified that a website would be a key part of their marketing strategy and a great way to promote their members. VCA contacted Get Started because of our experience within similar industry sectors (in particular, the development of vicstrawberry.com.au). VCA needed a content managed website (that was easy to use!) with a great design. They also wanted a simple extranet to publish newsletters and resources for members. The Association decided to go with Get Started’s TightPage system, because of its great value for money.

Working closely with Get Started, an online strategy was developed. The concept of the design was to create something that was fun and practical, and also inline with the VCA’s other collateral. The website needed to balance the needs of the general public, along with the members, which is where the members section comes into play. This allows them to issue login details to members to access this area. The VCA love being able to quickly and easy manage the text, images and files on both sections of the website.
