We are excited to announce that four Get Started projects have been shortlisted in the 2016 Melbourne Design Awards. The projects are: our websites for Brown Brothers, Arnold Bloch Leibler and QSR International, and the AusAppPathways app we built for Industry Training Australia.

The Melbourne Design Awards provide marketplace recognition across a range of categories and 'celebrate the creativity of those leading the way in technology and innovation'.

You can help us win!

The judging process combines the opinions of a panel of design experts as well as ratings from the general public. The idea behind the community rating program is that it’s not about the quantity of votes but rather the quality of the reviews.

Last year, Get Started and Brown Brothers won a Gold Award for the Colourful Conversations campaign site. This site has also been the recipient of a host of other accolades, including two Australian Web Awards, three Communicator Awards, a W3 Award and was an Official Honoree in the 2016 Webby Awards.

The shortlisted projects

Below is a snapshot of each of the projects shortlisted (in order of launch date). Please use the voting links provided to show your support for your favourite entries. (Cast your vote by clicking on the 'Start rating' button up the top.)

QSR International

Software company QSR International needed a fully-responsive site that was flexible enough to deal with the complexities of international e-commerce. The site incorporates best-practice functional design, as well as an attention-grabbing aesthetic that reflects its position as a global provider of quality software products. Vote for QSR

Industry Training Australia

Mapping out a career path can be a daunting process. Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together – from working out what you want to do through to actually landing a job – can feel overwhelming. The AusAppPathways app is a centralised information source that vastly simplifies the task of making your future career a reality. Vote for Industry Training Australia

Brown Brothers

Following its highly successful collaboration with Get Started on Colourful Conversations last year, Brown Brothers enlisted Get Started to help it raise the bar on buying wine online. The new site features a stunning contemporary design and gives wine consumers far more control over their wine selection with advanced filtering functionality. Vote for Brown Brothers

Arnold Bloch Leibler

Arnold Bloch Leibler is a commercial law firm with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. ABL took a leap of faith with the design of this site, daring to break the mould of legal industry conservatism. The result was a striking design with a professional edge that pays homage to the firm’s history. Vote for ABL

Voting is open until 29 June and winners will be announced on 30 June.
