Kentico is coming to town

It’s nearly here, folks! It’s not Christmas but it’s arguably the next best thing. That’s right - Kentico Connection is coming to Melbourne!

After many years of working on our friends over at Kentico HQ to visit our fine city, we’re pleased to announce that they’re finally coming to join us in Melbourne for Kentico Connection. Get Started is proud to be a Diamond Sponsor of the event, which will be held from 25-27 October at The Atlantic Group, Docklands.

Kentico Connection 2015 will present two solid days of Kentico fun and games, with a host of internationally respected speakers - including our very own Andy Thompson and Marty Drill - and plenty of tips and advice for anyone who has any involvement with the Kentico CMS.

The conference will be divided into three tracks - one for developers, one for marketers and one for those who really want to roll up their sleeves and get practical. So there’ll be something for everyone, no matter what your level of technical prowess with the platform.

A big focus of the event this year will be on Kentico EMS, Kentico’s integrated marketing solution. There will be hands-on EMS-oriented sessions covering topics such as lead scoring, A/B testing, content personalisation and marketing automation, among others.

Get Started’s Andy Thompson - APAC’s only Kentico MVP - will be presenting two sessions. One will be on best-practice customer journey workflows for Kentico EMS. Andy will share a suite of workflows that you can implement immediately, from lead nurturing and lead reactivation, to customer onboarding and abandoned cart management.

Andy's other session, 'Kentico Full Throttle', will look at the full range of performance options available to developers in Kentico. This session will cover everything from configuration and development best practices, through the various caching and data-sharing methods available, to advanced methods for scaling, such as web farms and CDNs.

Our CEO, Marty Drill, will also deliver a session on the unique challenges and triumphs that Get Started experienced in developing websites for three separate Royal Commissions - one into bushfires, one on family violence and the other on institutional responses to child abuse. Marty will share how Kentico enabled Get Started to create digital experiences that really mattered to the people affected by these highly sensitive subjects.

The conference will also feature an expert panel session (including Get Started's Andy Thompson), a ‘meet the people behind the product’ session and a number of opportunities for socialising and networking. Details of pre-conference events will be announced soon. For more information on the event, sessions and presenters, visit the Kentico Connection event site.
