Breastscreen Victoria

Charged with the mission of recruiting Victorian women to regularly get mammograms, Breastscreen Victoria have a big task on their hands. They needed an online experience that was going to help get them there.

The Challenge

Breastscreen Victoria wanted a site that was engaging, contemporary and a resource for both women and the medical community. Women needed to engage with the site, seeing it as a one stop shop to support them in breast awareness.

The site needed to allow visitors and media to access information both for download and in hardcopy, be accessible across desktops, tablets and smart phones, and integrate with social media to support Breastscreen Victoria’s broader digital strategy. As with many government agency and not-for-profit projects, the site also needed to meet WCAG Accessibility requirements.

The Result

Get Started had around three months to wireframe, design, markup and develop a site that worked on mobile, tablet and desktop… and we delivered. As a great client, Breastscreen Victoria was prompt with their feedback and our team was adept at solving the challenges that come with responsive site designs and builds. We delivered a site that supports their organisational objectives, delivers to their design requirements and met their functional needs.

This site was awarded Winner of both the Charitable Organisations/Non-profit and Health categories of the 2013 Communicator Awards.
